Overview - COIN COUNTING BINGO
Coin Counting Bingo, by PCI's Kathy Creel, is the perfect game for students who are learning the basics of counting coins. The most common coins (pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters) are shown in various groupings to help students understand coin combinations and values. Since the coins never overlap, students can easily distinguish each coin and count the totals.
TWO GAMES IN ONE
The 20 colorful boards are double-sided, allowing for two levels of play. The front side features groups of coins totaling amounts from 1 cent to 25 cents. The back side includes groups of coins in amounts from 1 cent to 1 dollar. The two levels make the game appropriate for students just beginning to count coins as well as those with more advanced skills.
REALISTIC COINS
Each of the nine squares on the bingo boards features between 1 and 10 coins. Coins are realistic in both appearance and size. In order to provide students with "real-world" practice in identifying coins, both the fronts and the backs of the coins are shown. Different combinations of coins representing the same total can be found throughout the 20 boards in both games. For example, 25 cents may be shown on one board as a quarter and on another board as five nickels.

The Teacher's Guide includes several worksheets that provide additional practice in coin counting. These activity sheets are an excellent take-home component, allowing parents and family members to help teach and reinforce coin values.
